Project Description
This project involves the renovation of the Judicial Building Annex second and third floors. The NC Department of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention and the Durham County Emergency Medical Services (administrative staff) formerly occupied these floors and have now moved into Durham County Administration II. After the Judicial Annex renovations are complete, these two floors will be occupied by the NC Department of Public Safety Division 14 Adult Probation and Parole Offices that are currently located on Orange Street. This relocation will allow the elimination of the lease agreement for the Orange Street location. These floors will be modified to meet the functional requirements for Adult Probation and Parole along with necessary improvements to the building systems.
The Durham County Board of Elections, currently located on the first floor of the building, will temporarily move to 120 E. Parrish Street while the building is under construction.
