RENTAL 

NO-TILL DRILL

In 2017 the Durham Soil and Water Conservation District purchased a
Great Plains 706NT No-till Drill with a North Carolina Agricultural
Development and Farmland Preservation Trust Fund grant. The drill
is available for farmers to rent in Durham, Person, Orange, Wake,
Chatham, and Granville Counties.

RENTAL RATES: $12.00 per acre (min. 8.3 acres)
with a $100 deposit (check or cash only)

FOR SALE 

WILDFLOWER SEEDS (Native)

Support pollinators and wildlife by planting wildflower seeds. Our wildflower seeds are sourced from Mellow Marsh Farms, and each mixture consists of flowers that are native to the Southeast One packet covers a 75 square foot area. The best time to plant in March through May and August through November. We have several wildflower mixtures available.

All packets cost $5.00 with tax. We accept cash and checks made out to Durham SWCD. To order, please call our office at 919-560-0558 or email Lisa at lmarochak@dconc.gov.

Mixture contains: Winter bentgrass, Upland bentgrass, Tall thimbleweed, Eatern columbine, Butterfly weed, Bearded beggarticks, Partridge pea, Lance-leaf coreopsis, Purple coneflower, Virginia wildrye, Swamp sunflower, Smooth oxeye, Spotted beebalm, Common evening primrose, Eastern smooth beardtongue, Narrowleaf mountainmint, Blackeyed susan, Little bluestem, Narrowleaf blue-eyed grass, Wrinkleleaf goldenrod, Indian grass, New England aster, Purpletop, and Eastern gamagrass.

City of Durham Rain Barrel Sale

The City of Durham’s Department of Water Management, in conjunction with Rain Water Solutions, Inc., is offering rain barrels at wholesale to Durham Water customers. Rain barrels are just $73 plus tax.

    2. Wait one business day to ensure your order has been processed by Rain Water Solutions and received by Water Management.
    3. Call 919-560-4381, ext. *35248 to schedule a time to pick up your barrel. Pick up times are Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
