Community Engagement

Local governments disseminating American Recue Plan Act (ARPA) funds realize the importance of engaging with the community to assess their needs and exploring how the funding can best align with local priorities. Since 2021, many opportunities have occurred for community input on the planned use of ARPA funding, including community conversations, public comments during Board of County Commissioners meetings, and feedback using the Durham ARPA Suggestions and Feedback portal. All ARPA funds were encumbered by December 31, 2024.
