Update: Criminal Investigation Along East Club Boulevard

DURHAM  (08/22/2022) - The Durham County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate last night’s incident in the 2400 block of East Club Boulevard.

Just after 7:00 p.m., the victim in this incident was leaving a business parking lot in his vehicle when a light-colored car approached on East Club Blvd and fired shots at the victim's vehicle, resulting in both the suspect and the victim fleeing the scene in different directions.  Last night and into early this morning, DCSO processed the crime scene to collect evidence. No one was injured as a result of the incident.  Club Blvd. was closed in the area for approximately 4 hours as part of the investigation. 

The investigation continues to determine the make and model of the car involved as well as information connected to the suspects.  Anyone with information should contact the Durham County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation Division at 919-560-0880. They may also contact Durham Crimestoppers at 919-683-1200. All calls to Crimestoppers are anonymous and information leading to a felony arrest could be eligible for a cash reward. 



The following information was released at 10:04 p.m. on Sunday, August 22. 
Club Blvd is closed this evening from I-85 to Geer St., including the exit ramp, as the result of a criminal investigation. Drivers are advised to avoid the area.  Further Information will be released when it is available.
