FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

DURHAM  (6/5/2022) - The Criminal Investigations Division (CID) of the Durham County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting incident today. Sunday, June 5th. It occurred at approximately 3:30 a.m, on the 3700 block of Angier Avenue at the Diamond Girls gentleman's club.  

According to witnesses a large group of people were involved in a disturbance in the parking lot of the establishment when gunfire erupted. At least 3 people were injured in the shooting and were taken to an area hospital in private vehicles for treatment of serious injuries. Sheriff's Office Crime Scene investigators responded to process a large number of shell casings left by the perpetrators. Because of the large crime scene, Angier Avenue was shut down in the early morning hours to allow for the collection of evidence.
