Durham, NC – In anticipation of severe winter weather due to hit Durham County today, Durham County Solid Waste and Recycling Convenience Sites will be closing today at 11:30 a.m. No decision has been made as to whether roadside recycling collection scheduled for Thursday, February 13 and Friday, February 14 will be delayed and or rescheduled.
Citizens are strongly encouraged to visit the Durham County Government website www.dconc.gov or call the Solid Waste Information Line at 919-560-0433 for updates on solid waste and recycling services in the unincorporated areas of Durham County. Recycling customers should keep in mind if their bins are missed but were placed at the roadside by 7 a.m. the day of collection, they are asked to leave their recycling bins at the roadside so they may be emptied. Bins placed at the roadside after 7 a.m. on the day of collection will not be considered a missed collection.
