Residents Invited to Watch Presentation Live Online or On Demand

Post Date:05/04/2021 12:00 PM

Durham, N.C. – Durham County Manager Wendell M. Davis will present his recommended budget for Fiscal Year 2021-2022 to the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) on Monday, May 10, 2021. The presentation will take place during the BOCC’s Regular Session scheduled at 7p.m. The meeting will be virtual due to social distancing guidelines as dictated in the Durham City-County Stay-At-Home Order. Citizens who wish to watch the meeting may do so live on Durham Television Network, Spectrum Channel 8, or online on the BOCC Agendas & Video Library webpage at https://bit.ly/3cFzZRu.

The forthcoming recommended budget has been created to align with the key areas of focus communicated during the BOCC’s Budget Retreat and guided by the County’s Managing for Results Model introduced by Manager Davis in 2015. This year’s budget provides funding for the continuation of vitally important County services, applies key resources to continue abating the effects of the COVID pandemic, and recognizes that a significant allocation of federal resources related to the pandemic will occur during the upcoming fiscal year.
