County Invites Public to Recycling Plant Tour on November 15
Interested Residents Must Be 18 or Older; Registration Required to Tour

Durham, NC - In recognition of America Recycles Day, Durham County General Services has partnered with Waste Management’s Recycle America to offer County Residents a behind-the-scenes of the tour of the facility that sorts the recyclables collected from the County’s Roadside Recycling program.

The tour will be held at 10 a.m. on November 15, 2013, at the Waste Management Recycle America facility located at 1815 Capital Blvd in Raleigh. Participants will receive a guided tour of the sorting facility followed by a question and answer session with County staff and Waste Management representatives.

The entire program will last approximately 1 hour and is limited to 30 participants. Participants must be at least 18 years of age or older and wear closed toe shoes. Participants must provide their own transportation to the facility.
