What:       The third of five Bull City Play Streets of 2013

Who:        City of Durham Neighborhood Improvement Services Department, Durham County 
                Department of Public Health, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina, and Partnership 
                for a Healthier America

When:      Saturday, June 15, 2013, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Where:     Driver Street (from Southgate St. to Ashe St.) in Durham 

Fast Facts:

• Residents and families looking to enjoy fun, free, health and fitness activities should come out and join the third Bull City Play Streets event this Saturday.

• All ages are welcome and encouraged to participate. It is advised to bring a water bottle and to dress comfortably to play outside and have fun. Participants are also encouraged to bring bikes, scooters, roller skates, and other toys to play outside.

• Participate in our fun, fitness activities: Zumba, Samba, Back2Basics Boxing, line dancing with the Bull City Sliders, playground games by Playworks and other outdoor games.

• Durham Diabetes Coalition with special appearance by The Light 103.9 FM’s Jerry Smith.

• Parking will be located at the Holton Career and Resource Center.

• Over the summer and fall, Bull City Play Streets will take place in locations throughout Durham: 

  • Saturday, September 7, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., Holt Elementary School, 4019 Holt School Rd.
  • Saturday, October 5, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., Foster St. area
