County Announces the Availability Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Grant Funding

Durham, NC ? The Durham County Juvenile Crime Prevention Council is now soliciting proposals for juvenile crime intervention/prevention programs that will desire funding support from the North Carolina Division of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (NCDJJDP). The deadline to submit application for grant funding offered in fiscal year 2013-2014 by NCDJJDP is Monday, March 25, 2013. To pursue funding, Durham applicants must adhere to the following:
• Attend a mandatory proposal workshop offered by Durham County Juvenile Crime Prevention Council scheduled for Wednesday, March 6, from 1-4 p.m.
• Submit a completed application by March 25.
Funding awarded to selected applicants is allocated to Durham County Government to support community programs serving delinquent and at-risk youth of Durham. Youth targeted for the specified funding are between the ages of 7 and 17. Funding will be available for the new fiscal year beginning July 1.
