Durham, NC ─ The Durham County General Services Department will close for a departmental meeting and training on Friday, July 22, 2016, from 7 a.m. until 7p.m.
All services for the department will be suspended for the day including the closure of all four Durham County Solid Waste Convenience Sites. Convenience site users are urged to dispose of their solid wastes prior to or after the closure. This practice will help prevent the overflow of waste containers.
The convenience sites are located at:
- Parkwood Site #1 – 5928 Highway 55
- Bahama Site #2 – 9008 Quail Roost Road
- Redwood Site #3 – 100 Electra Road
- Rougemont Site #4 - 108 Bill Poole Road
All sites will reopen on July 23rd at 7 a.m. Residents are not permitted to leave trash, garbage or recyclables outside the gates of the convenience sites while the four locations are closed.
For more information regarding this closing, contact County Solid Waste Program Manager Brian Haynesworth (919) 560-0433 or via email at bhaynesworth@dconc.gov.
