County Convenience Sites to Temporarily Close, December 14

Durham, NC – Durham County’s General Services Department will close its four solid waste and recycling convenience sites temporarily, from 11a.m. until 1:30 p.m., on Friday, December 14, 2012, for a departmental meeting. Users of the County’s convenience sites are urged to adjust their disposal plans accordingly on this date.
The four solid waste and recycling convenience sites are located at:
• Parkwood Site # 1 – 5928 Highway 55 (Highway 55 & T.W. Alexander Drive)
• Bahama Site # 2 – 9008 Quail Roost Road, Bahama (Quail Roost Road & Ball Road)
• Redwood Site # 3 – Redwood Road & Electra Drive
• Rougemont Site #4 – 108 Bill Poole Road, Rougemont (Highway 501 North & Bill Poole Road)
All sites will reopen at 1:30 p.m. on December 14, and remain open until the normal closing time of 6 p.m. Residents are not permitted to leave trash, garbage or recyclables outside the gates while the convenience center sites are closed.
