Public Health to be closed Wednesday. The closed exercise is required to meet state and federal requirements and will test Public Health’s plan to provide medication in the event of a large scale biological/chemical release or natural disaster in Durham County.

Last month Durham County Register of Deeds Willie L. Covington announced plans to retire from Durham County Government effective September 30th. Because of several upcoming unanticipated personnel changes in the department that now will coincide with his originally planned departure date, he has agreed to continue to lead the office until May 31, 2016.
