On Monday, August 21, 2023, the air conditioning system at the Durham County Courthouse was not fully operational due to a mechanical issue.  Durham County General Services will be addressing the issue in restoring the air throughout the building.

District Courtroom 5D (Domestic Violence Court) and Civil Magistrates offices are closed this afternoon.  Those seeking to get married in the afternoon are directed to the Durham County Detention Center located at 219 S. Mangum Street.

Superior Courtrooms 7D and 7C are closed this afternoon.

The Sheriff’s Office and Clerk’s Offices remain open for routine court business.  The Durham County Sheriff’s Office will continue to operate as usual.
