N95 Distribution Paused at Durham County Libraries Until Further Notice

Post Date:02/02/2022 3:00 PM

Wednesday, February 2 will be the final day of N95 mask distribution at Durham County Public Libraries until further notice, as no additional masks are available at this time. Limited supply currently remains at some Durham County Libraries, but supply is not expected to last until the close of library hours on February 2. Masks remain available at Optum Serve testing locations for individuals being tested, while supplies last.

“We are so glad to be able to partner with our libraries to give out these masks, which are a critical need in the community,” said Durham County Public Health Director Rod Jenkins. “We were able to give out more than 30,000 N95s through our libraries, and we hope that we are able to receive more from the state in the coming weeks in order to be able to get a pickup process started again.”

Masks remain available at Optum Serve testing locations for individuals being tested. To maintain safety and traffic control, these masks will be available for pickup only at the drive-through testing booth after completing testing. They will be unavailable for pickup for vehicles not in line for testing. Masks will be available during the regular hours of operations for each location:

  • Durham County Memorial Stadium (750 Stadium Dr.): 11:00AM-7:00PM daily

  • El Centro Hispano (2000 Chapel Hill Rd.): 10:00AM-6:00PM daily

  • Wheels Fun Park (715 N. Hoover Rd.): 10:00AM-6:00PM daily

  • 414 E. Main St.: Saturday-Sunday only, 9:00AM-7:00PM

Information about upcoming mask distribution as supplies become available will be shared in a news release as well as on our website, social media, and email updates
